a peek into our world

This video is long, but worth watching if you love us and love comedy. :-)

general November cuteness

Miss Punkin, all ready for her first field trip!
In her kinder shirt, of course!

and someone else had to have his picture taken!
this suit was Jacob's, he wore it (at age 13 months) when Uncle BJ got married. We found it and it was a perfect fit for Sambo!
So handsome!

blowing kisses

"Kubkub" got in on the dressing up
Punkin nice and toasty in her pretty winter hat!
Sambo moved into a big-boy bed this month, when Punkin got her bunk beds. Only he doesn't sleep in it... unless we sleep in it with him... But that's not the point, now is it?

my boots
and his boots
someone took a picture of herself...
or 2...
this is the point when we decided his hair was a little out of control, and :sniffle sob: gave him a wee little trim (not pictured)
getting ready to do some 4-wheelin!

guess they were tired...

When Punkin gets tired, she gives us kisses and crawls into bed. Every night. Usually before 9pm, whether we make her or not.
My boys, however, are party animals. They will stay up as late as possible, until they collapse where they sit if you let them.

Exhibit A:

yes, that is a piece of pizza...

Hilarious exhibit B:

Yes, that is indeed a football helmet!

20 months

Every day my little baby looks less like a baby, and more like a BOY.
And he acts as if he's made of rubber and springs... and ENERGY. Oh my.

His vocabulary expands by the day. We are fully into 2 word sentences.
He calls Lucy "Kunkin," and apparently has been for a while, we just didn't understand him.
His newest cutest thing is "Oh." That and the shooshing, where he puts his finger up his nose, purses his lips, and blows through his mouth. But you get the gist, because he does it at the perfectly appropriate times: Daddy singing in a a high voice, mama whining because he says "Daddy, Daddy, Daddy" all day, Papa arguing with him, the Wal-Mart cashier telling him not to climb out of the cart... it's hilarious!

Yes, full Daddy-infatuation has taken hold, reducing me to the chopped liver category. Bubba is probably a close second. Emmitt third. He likes me and Kunkin well enough, I guess.

He plays with his trike and "Cheez" aka keys all day, and blows us kisses, waves, and say "Bye-bye, Awuboo!"
And he dances... oh boy can my baby DANCE! He's got moves all over the place, hehe.

And you may notice that my ticker is gone. We have moved on from the "ba-ba's" to the Happy Meals. 20 months, and it seemed we could wean without too much drama, so... yea. Bittersweet. I am tempted every day to give in when he asks, so sweetly, his little hand on my chest.
But then I think... well where would it end? 2 years would be okay, but would he stop as easily next time? Could I handle longer? And I think, probably not, so better go ahead and let sleeping dogs lie, and drying boobs dry. Hehe.

And now I am going to slam you with 2 months worth of Sammy pictures, because I skipped the 19 month update. Enjoy... how could you not?

After a chocolate syrup fiasco that pictures just couldn't capture properly... my oh my...
driving "Daddy's kuck"

I was attempting to get a good shot of his curls...
but he kept turning around and smiling. :-)
Cotton says he "looks like my Uncle Worm" with his hair like this, hahahaha
Can you tell he likes this hat?

Wearing Daddy's whitey-tighties and carrying sister's purse (in his defense he calls it a packpack, hehe)

clothes, Junie B. Jones, and 1st 9 week awards :-)

here is a little outfit I made for Miss Thang, who thinks candy corn is the greatest thing EVER

We were given tickets to see a play at Dallas Children's Theater, and we could not have picked a more perfect production than JUNIE B. JONES and a little monkey business. We LOVE the Junie books (okay, Lucy does, I don't so much)

My girl and Junie B. in the flesh!
My princess Lucille and Princess Lucille
pretty girl at intermission

and with her program, which she later had the entire cast sign
And then we have the 2nd grade awards ceremony for the first 9 weeks of school.

The pictures suck, and my son gave his awards to his teacher afterwards, so I didn't even get a picture of him holding them up. Sheesh.
He's there at the end of the table, in his soccer jersey.

He got A/B honor roll, a music award and the PE award. YAY! Go Jacob

school pics!

These were supposed to be cropped, but I guess it didn't save. Oh well....

Fall 2009!

My little kindergartener!

Christian doing his best "Hot Dog" impression

"Look! Candy!"
Punkin is an old pro at this stuff

drink break, although not the kind of drink a mom of 3 really needs on halloween!
"why do people keep giving me candy?"

Off with Grandma to hit the neighborhood

Jacob with a couple of his buddies
Little tirck-or-treaters can only last for so long...
